This March, I was able to attend the HPBExpo in New Orleans. This show, run annually, is about connecting the Fireplace Industry getting you up to date on education, and showcasing new products. I just wanted to touch on a few new exciting products from this year’s show.
1. Napoleon: Napoleon is always on the cutting edge when it comes to new products. This year they showcased a new potential product category with the release of a Heating and Cooling Electric Fireplace. This product is one of a kind, it will effectively cool your home as well as heat it. But you will have a nice looking fireplace to look at while it’s working. Flames for heat, snowflakes for cooling! This unit will take the place of that ugly heat-pump you have hanging on your wall. Energy star rated and efficient, this unit has lots of potential in the greater Bangor area!
2. Mendota: New to their Gas Fireplace lineup in 2020 will be the addition of a new landscape model fireplace. The FV48 was revealed at the show and was very well received. Following the trend of the last few models, Mendota has released the FV48 has a rectangular viewing area. The glass on the fireplace will measure 48″ wide by 24″ tall. Meant for a large space, this fireplace has the capability of heating a very large room. Multiple log sets and designer fronts are available. We hope to have this unit on the floor by this fall.
3. Skytech: The leader in Fireplace Remote controls, Skytech has developed a new home automation system that will control not only your favorite Gas Fireplace, Gas Insert, or Gas Stove, but also will work with lights, speakers, and other home products. A simple system to operate with your iPhone or iPad, you will be able to operate your fireplace remotely from anywhere in the home!
As always we are excited to bring you the best products available. If you are looking for a solution to heating your home, reach out and we would be happy to help. Next year, the HPBExpo travels to Nashville. Who wants to join me?
Until next time…
Justin
